Herod a very educated person preferred the Roman type of living and that way he got married to a Roman, named Rigilla, who unfortunately died not long after their marriage. Herod mourned his wife’s death, giving her name to the music school that was constructed in her memory, “Rigillis Music School” but later on this same building was named after him “Music School of Herodus Atticus”, putting her name and memory in danger of being forgotten, when in 1884 the city council decided to name the street giving Rigillis name to a street and eventually to a whole area. That way, her name has lasted through the years but the story has not.
