It is a cluster of 10 interconnected apartments with verandas, balconies and patios with a direct view to the sea and the surrounding mountains of Elounda Village, offering at the same time a delightful, friendly atmosphere for people wanting to relax by the sea and explore some of eastern Crete, without spending the kind of money demanded by other Elounda hotels. The apartments can accommodate either 2 to 3 or 4 to 5 persons. All of the apartments consist of a comfortable living-room, a well equipped kitchen and one or two comfortable bathrooms. They are simple but adequately furnished, with plain pine tables and chairs, stone-flagged or tiled floors and a variety of built-in beds. The layout is open-plan and split level, with the bedroom(s) half a floor higher than the sitting area. This architectural style is based on the traditional local style that blends harmoniously with the native landscape of olive and carob trees. In the sprawling gardens, flora and fauna bloom all year round, set against the striking blue of the Aegean and an ever-clear sky. You can choose between a small apartment, sleeping 2 in 1 double bedroom; a medium apartment which has an additional single bed; and a large apartment which sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, plus an additional bathroom. At the entrance to the apartments, directly in a garden with a spectacular view, there is a snack-bar, where one can have breakfast and enjoy a fresh smoothie or a traditional Greek dish. The apartments are proud to be an eco-friendly resort: Since 1996 a photovoltaic system is successfully supplying the apartments with electricity from the sun! Such a system appears to be one of the friendliest possible to the environment and to its aesthetics, also known for its capability not to consume any kind of raw materials. The surrounding area of the apartments is a protected area and a nature resort for migratory birds. The famous natural beach of Kolokytha is on the Spinalonga peninsula and the apartments are the nearest accommodation to it (1,2km)! The apartments offer a vantage point from which one can explore the sights as follows: Snorkelling in some ruins of the sunken city "Olous", still remaining in the sea, 200m away from the complex! A peaceful walk to the Byzantine mosaic, the old windmills, the bridge and the protected lake with the migratory birds where the Salt mines used to be till the '60s Swim in the crystal, clear waters of Kolokytha beach (1200m away from the Apartments). A full of fun visit by boat to the Spinalonga Island with the Venetian Fortress and the old Leper Colony A coffee or a drink by the sea-lake in the town of Aghios Nikolaos. A visit to the "real Crete": the traditional Cretan villages of the area (Kritsa, Limnes, Neapoli, Vryses, Vrouchas, Pines, Fourni etch.)
